    Here is the link to the seeding and schedules.

    NOTE! There are different tabs at the bottom of the Google Doc, one for each schedule.

    Schedules are subject to change, for typos or for accommodation requests if at all possible.

    Unfortunately Friday games for some divisions are a must, per the zone templates, per advisement, and per Conduct of Championships to not have more than 3 games per day.

    Please address all host schedule requests to mike@chawp.com (click read more)

    Thank you and Good Luck to all teams!

    Regarding goal sizes:

    1) For 10U Coed, smaller goals will be used. The sizes should be identical for the SOPAC Quals and NJO's at Stanford, although the manufacturer may not be the same.

    2) For 12U, same regulation size as for 14U and above. NJO's at Stanford will not have smaller goals for 12U so the SOPAC quals will not. As an aside, USAWP is working to incorporate smaller 12U goals into the 2019 NJO's in Orange County, which means that hosts for SOPAC events will begin to build infrastructure from now until then in order to have the infrastructure in place. Again, USAWP has advised that smaller goals will not be used for 12's for NJO's for 2018.

    Southern Pacific (SOPAC) Zone of USA Water Polo, Inc. (USAWP)

    National Championship Qualification Event and Host Bidding Guidelines

    The National Governing Body (NGB), United States Water Polo, Inc. (USAWP) requires that the SOPAC Zone (“the Zone”) host annual Qualification Tournament Events (Qualification Events) for the USAWP National Championship Events (National Championships) including but not limited to

    • Regional Junior Olympics;

    • Autumn Champions Cup; and

    • SPA Championships

    The process for bidding, hosting, seeding and scheduling has evolved over the years. The current Zone model provides that qualified independent bidders (Host Bidders) in cooperation with the Zone, host the Qualification Events under these Zone guidelines. The Zone solicits bids for Qualifications Events throughout the competition year. The Host Bidders who win the bidding competition and are awarded to host the competitions are called the Hosts.

    The attached SoPac Bidding Specs have been developed to document the procedures and policies for Qualification Events.

    ALL BIDS ARE DUE BY FEBRUARY 16, 2018 AT 5PM.
